Young & Reckless presents Benzi & DJ E-V latest project Reckless Wobbles.  Benzi, DJ E-V, & Drama Beats decided they wanted to make the ultimate mix of dub step and hip hop as the soundtrack for 2012.  The gang enlisted their rapper friends to provide exclusive vocals for the project and matched them with group of super dubstep producers to produce new remixes solely for Reckless Wobbles. The result is an amazing collection of remixes and unheard jams mixed front to back by Benzi & DJ E-V. The mix features pretty much all my favorites like Yelawolf, Theophilus London, Diplo, Iggy Azalea, The Weeknd, Kid Sister, Steve Aoki, Avicii and the list goes on.

Check out the latest single for Chicago-based group BBU, made up of MC’s Epic, Illekt, Jasson, and Perez, along with DJ Esquire, entitled “Outlaw Culture.”  The song pairs a raucous club beat with the crew’s powerful, poignant lyricism. “One of the most challenging moments was making the vocals sonically able to compete with such a huge beat.” explains Epic, while Perez notes that the direction, lyrically and topically, was just as important. “We wanted to have a song that covered all the aspects of the working class; and folks of color, sisters, and queer folks that are overlooked within the movement but who are imperative to the movement,” he says. “We wanted to make a song for everyone, but one that still sounded dope.” Well guys, that was Mission accomplished. Mexican indie artist Ceci Bastida’s music is crossing borders and receiving much praise and adoration. Bastida has won over collaborations with industry heavy-hitters like Diplo, XXXChange, and Rye Rye. Her latest single off her debut album Veo La Marea, ’Have You Heard?’, was produced by Diplo and features indie cool girl Rye Rye. The song deals with the current narco activity and how it affects family life. Definitely a light-hearted approach to the current border violence situation, it is an accurate representation of how cartel leaders are born and the violence and greed continues. The Chicago mash-up kings The Hood Internet are back with a mixtape of epic proportions – can you say Rick Ross over Com Truise? From the start you feel like you and The Boss are strollin’ down the Miami boardwalk under an 80′s sunset, turning heads as everyone realizes you really do have a chopper in the back.
