What happens when an ATM comes to life and roams the streets of New York City? He instantly makes it rain and gains so many friends. A-Trak and Dillon Francis captured the aforementioned scenario in the video for “Money Makin’”. This is the first collaboration between the two DJs and hopefully it won’t be the last! The video even features cameos by both halves of Chromeo and KR favorite Action Bronson. The party in the Big Apple comes to an abrupt halt when Mr. ATM’s screen reads ‘insufficient funds’. At the end of last year I shared a preview of Diplo’s newest EP, Express Yourself. Well today I share with you guys the first full-length single from the EP that we are still waiting for. Sharing the same name as the album, ‘Express Yourself’ is a catchy track that features some bouncey bounce provided by Nicky Da B. Young & Reckless presents Benzi & DJ E-V latest project Reckless Wobbles.  Benzi, DJ E-V, & Drama Beats decided they wanted to make the ultimate mix of dub step and hip hop as the soundtrack for 2012.  The gang enlisted their rapper friends to provide exclusive vocals for the project and matched them with group of super dubstep producers to produce new remixes solely for Reckless Wobbles. The result is an amazing collection of remixes and unheard jams mixed front to back by Benzi & DJ E-V. Check out the latest single for Chicago-based group BBU, made up of MC’s Epic, Illekt, Jasson, and Perez, along with DJ Esquire, entitled “Outlaw Culture.”  The song pairs a raucous club beat with the crew’s powerful, poignant lyricism. “One of the most challenging moments was making the vocals sonically able to compete with such a huge beat.” explains Epic, while Perez notes that the direction, lyrically and topically, was just as important. “We wanted to have a song that covered all the aspects of the working class; and folks of color, sisters, and queer folks that are overlooked within the movement but who are imperative to the movement,” he says. “We wanted to make a song for everyone, but one that still sounded dope.” Well guys, that was Mission accomplished. Mexican indie artist Ceci Bastida’s music is crossing borders and receiving much praise and adoration.
