J. Aminus is finally ready for your ears! Here is DJ Orion’s latest 5 track EP which bears the name Animus. Animus has multiple meanings: ostility or ill feeling; motivation to do something; and in psychology, Jung’s term for the masculine part of a woman’s personality. Orion describes the name of the EP on his site as:

I suppose, since this EP deals with 3ball/Guarachero and Dubstep (I feel there are some of you who have hostility or ill feeling towards dubstep itself – as i do sometimes), it was an appropriate name. Jung believed that the animus may consist of a conjunction of multiple male personalities in a woman: “in this way the unconscious symbolizes the fact that the animus represents a collective rather than a personal element”. The theory of the collective unconscious motivates me. The influences you all have on me, the underlining themes on a global music scale and how i feel people are interpreting the terminology associated with this ultra warp speed era of communication we are a part of, all played a vital roll in this EP.
