One of YMCMBs most famous members, TYGA (an acronym for Thank You God Always) started as just a kid with a mixtape and a dream to rise out of the negativity and crime that surrounded him in Compton, CA. Already catching internet and local club buzz, TYGA (born as Michael Stevenson), can be said to have caught his ‘big break’ while debating sneakers and rappers at sneaker store Flight Club LA with Gym Class Heroes member, Travis McCoy. This would be Tyga’s ticket to stardom as he begins to notice McCoy’s group gaining radio and TV time. This leads to TYGA staying in contact with McCoy, to going on tour with Gym Class Heroes, to performing on the VMAs with Fallout Boy and Lil Wayne, to becoming close friends with Mr. Weezy. After joining forces with Lil Wayne and Young Money, the rest is history.
