Remix: Foster the People – Houdini (RAC Mix)

When Foster the People released their debut EP early last year it was “Pumped Up Kicks,” not the equally as catchy, piano-based “Houdini,” that eventually skyrocketed them to fame. There was something kind of retro about “Houdini,” something a little Elton John-esque, and the RAC DJs seemed to have picked up on that disco influence by turning “Houdini” into a blistering club anthem. Trading feel-good piano lines for modulated synths this RAC remix makes a strong case for Foster the People to go the electro route. Lucky for you the DJs of RAC will be in Austin this Saturday, christening the brand new Beauty Ballroom on the ever-growing east side. Bump this remix and get stoked, RAC is coming to town.
