It’s not even February and the Toronto-based XO crew already has two mixtapes under their belt in 2012. Right before the new year The Weeknd released his third mixtape, Echoes of Silence, completing the trilogy he had promised back in 2011. One of the standout tracks, “Initiation,” was credited as being produced by XO member DropxLife who has just released a mixtape of his own entitled Further. Though Abel Tesfaye does not appear on these recordings Further boasts the same sort of hazy R&B that you would expect from The Weeknd.
