Girls rule. 
First off, let me lay down a fact – girls rule. Now on to the next, Austin rock and roll band, Schmillion, formed in the summer of 2009. Originally a line up of 5 girls, only 13-15 years of age at the time, the group quickly gained notoriety for their unexpectedly heavy sound and belting vocals
I can easily say that this band has certainly made Austin proud by being voted “Best Under 18 Band” in the 2010 and 2011 Austin Chronicle’s Reader’s Poll, for playing their first official SXSW Showcase in March on a bill that also featured the Bangles; and oh wait, opened for 2011 “Best Album” Grammy winners Arcade Fire at their Texas dates in Dallas, Austin and Houston this past May. Schmillion has also shared the stage with Okkerville River, Explosions in the Sky, UME, Peelander-Z, Sick of Sarah, and Follow That Bird among others. Did I mention that all these members are 18 and under? Whoa. Feel that? That is you getting chills, holmes. TALENT IS TALENT.
Schmillion is currently working on a full-length album that will include their original crunchy garage sound as well as songs that explore indie and pop inspirations. The band recently had a lineup change adding a new drummer to four of the original members. Get ready, folks.
My suggestion:
1) Try and be prepared to get your mind blown by these under 21 rockstars and face the fact that Beyonce was right, girls run this mutha.
2) Arrive t Art Disaster 13 early, Schmillion go on at 10:45 pm and this is the band you must not miss.
