All the way from the Santa Barbara coastline Gardens and Villa are back with a video for ‘Spacetime,’ the second single from their self-titled debut released earlier this summer via Secretly Canadian. Directed by David South, the pre-production involved nothing more than a super 8 camera, a blank script, a trash bag full of clothes and of course, a heavy dose of P.M.A. Channeling a much more psychedelic vibe than their first single, ‘Black Hills,’ Spacetime’ comes off like an early Black Lips b-side: gritty, upbeat and lathered with FX-drenched vocals. Pick up the record if you haven’t already, and for those of you in the Austin area don’t miss Gardens and Villa tonight at the Mohawk ($7 at the door) with Motopony and Invisible Inks. Doors at 9 PM.
