After 2 years of throwing versus parties at the Scoot Inn, Knuckle Rumbler stepped back into the lab to create a new series of events with the one intention: to overhaul, outlast and overexcite humanoids more than any other party before.
Locked down for days at a time, Knuckle Rumbler began concocting an ongoing series surrounding color and music. Excited by the complex and numerous combinations, Knuckle Rumbler called on DJ Orion and Kid Slyce to assist in the experiment.
During a late night brainstorm, the internet collapsed on the lab causing a massive explosion of music and color never before measured at these quantities. Sounds and colorscapes filled the room with such heat that it caused an abrupt change in atmospheric pressure. Knuckle Rumbler knew it had to escape, but was paralyzed by this vision it was seeing.
Waking the next morning, Knuckle Rumbler was physically altered by the explosion. With its partners nowhere to be found, Knuckle Rumbler descended into the New Orleans swamp, to find solace in the sweaty sounds of brass, bounce and southern rap. For weeks Knuckle Rumbler searched for its DJs in the underworld, hoping to recreate the vision it had seen that one fateful night.
On a warm evening in August, a brainstorm will once again began to brew. The clouds will turn red and blue, causing a heavy purple rain to fill the swamp. Creatures in Laker’s jerseys will appear. Heavy bass will fill the air, causing the swamp creatures to chant and convulse in hyper sexually. The sounds of horns will blaze the night. Southern rap will shake the swamp with it’s exuberant style and lyricism. A thick fog will start to rise and the vision will be clear ….Synesthesia officially takes over.
When the fog lifts, DJ Orion and Kid Slyce will control the body behind 4 turntables. We have come for you.
August 13 Knuckle Rumbler will re-emerge to bring you a new event to look forward to: Get Faded, a party series completely inspired by color. We have joined forces with the masters of sound DJ Orion and Kid Slyce to bring you a night of all things visually and sonically celebrating color.
